A circle. Whispers. White noise. Musik? Meditation? Concentration. Wishes being summoned to the circle. The tiredness of waiting. This circle should help any time soon. She should meditate. Concentrate! Who (or what) is controlling the sounds behind the deck? Are those sounds like from other dimensions? Made by Ghosts? Demons? Please, CONCENTRATE! This circle should help her to fnd her inner self. Her True Self long lost. Help her to thrive. This is her space; her body; her time. Right now. Through music, the Ghoul behind the deck turns into a body. A femme body. IN This place and no other. She goes to the circle now. The music is driving her insane, fne tuning insane... This space was created for her because she has no other space outside of this circle to survive, yet. This circle will be her shelter against the world and all the forces ruling it nowadays. She was in a cocoon behind the deck and turned into a moth, getting ready to fly. Fly? Insecurities... She knows that as soon she steps out of this circle she wont have any chance to fail. This is her second chance. She might not have another chance in her next life. So she better make it work in this one. This is an awakening point. This momentum signalizes the birth of her rebirth. She needs to think every step very carefully. CONCENTRATE! Her mind is a chaos, full of vengeance, rage, sex... musik. She cant concentrate... She cant put herself together. She cant take it anymore. Suddenly she stands. Music pumps frenetically. Dance is the reaction. She breaks out the circle. Run, now! We are all doomed.
This work is a fictional narrative focused on how an old soul full of passion, hate and vengeance would perceive life, being reborn in our contemporary days. This person realizes she is different, and that her spirit does not belong in this day and age. She is the incarnation of Tituba. Tituba was an enslaved black latinx woman, in Massachusetts around 1670. Although her origins are debated, research has suggested that she was a South American native and sailed from Barbados to the United States. Tituba was the frst to be accused of practicing witchcraft during the 1692 Salem witch trials. Little is know about her life after the trials. No one knows if she was hanged together with the other witches accused in the trial. Tituba has turned into a myth. She was a clear sign of how prejudice was installed systematically and how it was (it is) dangerous to be different, to have another skin tone, another language and another spiritual practices. Now, born into a new body, she realizes she has to endure the same witch hunting from society for being different. In this era, she is reborn as a male, poor, black and queer. Life could not be harder than that for the new-old Tituba. What to do if not revolt and hex everybody once again? This time around, she will use her music and dance to hypnotize, enchant and take vengeance on this world. Her ambition will be the fuel to reach stardom. She wants to be the one and only Voodoo Pop Star. She is hungry to take down the same man who prosecuted her 400 years ago, and that are still in the power.

performative roles in Dance, Music, and Visual Arts. They are a natural shapeshifter, reimagining and re-conceptualizing femininity, gender, social and race through (dis)identifcation. Ancestrality and Spirituality are reshaped and envisioned in queer futuristic pieces where the artist takes place as protagonist most of the time. Ivan also goes by the name "Tropikahl Pussy", an
alter-gender bender ego, producing "draglesque" and live music performances.
